The Vertx VTAC 36″ Rifle Case is a simple design but highly capable rifle bag. The layout of the bag features a main compartment purpose built to house your modern fighting rifle. On the front of the case there are also three individual pouches. These pouches feature loop and allow you to store gear and accessories easily.

Whether you just need a bag to go back and forth to the range, or you are training for your profession, the VTAC 36″ rifle case will serve you well. Your grandpappy’s bolt action won’t fit in this bag. In other words: It will be perfect for your 16″ barrel or shorter AR15’s or similar platforms. There are plenty of quality bags on the market. There are also manyā¦not so great options. We bought our first Vertx bags back around 2015/2016. We have been a customer of Vertx for years and we have used nearly all of their backpacks, slings, and packs in our personal lives. Our team quite literally carries Vertx bags on us every single day. There is a reason: They are extremely well built, they are laid out well, they can take immense abuse, and the donāt look tactical. The last thing we want is to have bags that look tactical or are laid out poorly. The Vertx bags in general are well built, well thought out packs.

If you need to transport your rifle to and from the range and you want to do it with a case, this is a good case. It’s built right, it’s compact, and it keeps your rifle protected for your travels.
5.) What Size Rifle Will Fit Into the VTAC 36″ Case?
We find that 16″ rifles are about the longest we want to carry inside this case. If your rifle’s barrel is 16″ or less, this is going to work well for you.
6.) What Is The Best Way To Carry Spare Magazines?Ā
We offer several variations of our mag shingles. We have a triple rifle version, a 2 Rifle 1 Pistol, and a Quad Pistol shingle for discreet bag carry. For this particular bag the shingles/spare bags work best in the concealed carry compartment (closest compartment toward users back).
7.) Who Should Steer Clear Of The Vertx VTAC rifle case?
If you own a rifle that has a barrel longer than 16″, you might want a larger case. Or you can always separate the upper from the lower. But this case is mostly designed for 16″ rifles.
