NocPix Slim Lines Dual Use

The NocPix Slim H35/L35 are both solid options to use as a cross over unit. They come with a quick throw lever between the unit and the gun to quickly detach the thermal unit from the gun to scan with and leave the mount where you originally placed it. Yes the quick release set up can hold zero. Both Slim models then have a magnet in the mount to temporarily hold the unit in place till you lock the quick throw lever shut again.

Base Magnification is a Serious Consideration

The NocPix Slim series is a great dual use thermal for the reasons above but theres one serious consideration you need to think about. Base Magnification. The Base magnification on the H35 640 core is 2X which is the perfect base magnification for a dual use thermal. Its not to high to be a scanner, and not to low to be a weapons mounted unit. The L35 384 core has a base magnification of 3.5X. In our opinion this base magnification is to high to be a great hand held scanner. Now there may be certain situations like out west where it’s big and flat and some what wide open that the L35 can still work well for both. Just give your use case some thought and decide what base magnification will serve you best.
