Vortex UH-1 Gen II Holographic Weapon Sight
The Vortex UH-1 Gen II Sight is a holographic red dot that will keep you locked in day or night. Also, the UH-1 Gen II features a large viewing window paired with a EBR-CQB Reticle. This allows you to acquire targets much faster when on the move. Along with great sight picture, the UH-1 Gen II has 8 night vision compatible illumination settings as well as a dedicated night vision button that allows for passive aiming.

The AMG UH-1 Gen II is tough for the prepared individual. Because of this, the optic is machined from Aluminum which gives it that rugged design. Also, the glass utilizes ArmorTek®. This Ultra-hard, scratch-resistant coating protects exterior lenses from scratches, oil and dirt.

The UH-1 is known for its large viewing window and EBR-CQB reticle. This allows for exceptional performance in close quarter situations and even medium distance shooting. Lastly, the enclosed design ensures no dust can block the reticle or obscure your sight picture.

Answer: The UH-1 Gen II is for anyone who desires a larger window for getting a quicker sight picture as well as an enclosed dot that is sealed from the elements. If your someone who really uses (and maybe abuses) your gear… this Holographic sight is built extremely tough to withstand even the harshest conditions.
2.) Is it worth the extra weight?
Answer: While we can’t answer this for you, one does have to throw the pros and cons on the table and make a decision. From our experience, the benefit from the larger window outweighs the heavier weight.
3.) What is battery life like?
Answer: On a middle setting you will get about 1,500 hours. On the highest setting you will see about 360 hours.
4.) Can you use a magnifier with the UH-1 Gen II?
Answer: Magnifiers work great with this dot! We have run 3x and 6x and they both work awesome.
