Description
The Cardboard Target Base has one mission in mind.
The objective of the cardboard target base was to create a simple and inexpensive way to mount cardboard. That’s it. Something stable, portable, and elegant at a reasonable price point. While this base cannot be used with steel targets, it is perfect for our USPSA targets. Want even more versatility? Consider purchasing our extended paper holders as well. The extended paper holders allow the use of 24X36″ paper targets and larger cardboard backers.
Build from 3/16″ Steel, Laser Cut, Bent to Perfection.
The Cardboard Base features the same care and attention to detail as other TA Targets systems. It is designed to break down into an extremely compact form factor. While it does require assembly, it takes seconds and requires NO tools.
Lightweight yet very stable.
The Cardboard Target Base weighs in at about 20 pounds. This is a very light base, but due to the design and shape it maintains a stable footprint even in windy conditions. If more stability is needed, you can also purchase target stakes. Stakes can be installed on either side of the base for even more stability if needed.
Intuitive design.
This base is very easy to set up, very easy to use, and is very light on the wallet. The paper holders are replaceable if there is ever a need to replace them. Each component can be taken apart. This base is purpose built to work well with our Cardboard Mounting Sticks as well. Grab a set of those and a pack of 50 USPSA targets while you are here!

Frequently Asked Questions:
1.) Should I get this base or the breakdown base?
Answer: Yes! Ok, joking aside: they both serve important roles. If you have ANY desire to eventually get into a steel target system, go with the breakdown base. When maximum expandability is critical , the breakdown base wins. If a simple, no nonsense way to shoot paper is most important: get this base.
2.) Is the cardboard target base armored steel?
Answer: No. Do not shoot this base as it WILL cause damage and destroy the base.
3.) Are the paper holders compatible with the breakdown base?
Answer: Yes, these are the exact same paper holders. Part commonality is always a top priority for us.
4.) Are these bases compatible with your steel targets?
Answer: Negative. ONLY cardboard targets on this base.
5.) Where Are These Products Produced?
Answer: We produce everything in beautiful Pennsylvania. We are also sticklers for quality and consistency. Therefore, we needed to keep our manufacturing under our wing. We make each product with love and care for serious use right here. Support US small business making products HERE!
6.) Does This Product Fall Under Prop. 65 Warnings?
Answer:Maybe. Just in case, be sure not to eat the paint or lick the target before or after you’ve shot it. If you are just curious, led tastes horrible and will probably cause mental damage. If you have done it once you are likely to do it again. Handle at your own risk, if you choose, you may wear an industry grade hazmat suit and gas mask with a HEPA filter and good luck charm on your wrist. 7.) Can I download an instruction manual for this product?
Answer: Yep! You can find all user manuals on TA Target’s site HERE.
8.) Does the Base come with any targets or other brackets?
Answer: No. This is JUST the base assembly. Cardboard targets can be purchased HERE. Cardboard mounting sticks can be purchased HERE.
