The Wilcox G22 mount is nearly identical to the G24 mount but does not feature the breakaway function.

The Wilcox G22 mount is a compact and lightweight helmet mounting solution for your Binocular night vision devices OR bridged PVS14’s or MH25 thermal monoculars. This is a fantastic option for customers who need a mount yesterday, and don’t need the breakaway function of the G24. It is also great if users desire a bit more travel of the arm away from their face.

The G22 mount is an amazing option for anyone running nods on their helmet.

  • This mount is regarded as one of the best in the industry
  • G22 mounts have a history of high durability and performance even in rough conditions
  • Easy, intuitive adjustment makes mounting and adjusting your night vision unit a breeze
  • Reliable, consistent mounting and adjustments mean you can trust your mount to hold your investment without fear of failure.

When people are looking for a mount and cannot find a G24, we send them here to the G22. Keep in mind: No matter how good the mount is, we ALWAYS recommend attaching your night vision device to your helmet via a lanyard or straps.

Description

What is a Dove Tail Mount?

The Wilcox G22 mount is a mounting solution for your BNVD’s, Panobridge, or Mod Armory Bridge that enables you a secure attachment to a bump or ballistic helmet. Helmet mounting your night vision is superior in most cases as it offers the most flexibility of use (navigation, scanning, shooting both passive and IR) over simply holding a unit in your hand. Dovetail attachments are common on binocular night vision devices. Some of these units include: PVS-7B/D, PVS-14, PVS-7A/7C, PVS-15, PVS-18, PVS-21, & PVS-31. If you want to run a panobridge and two PVS14’s, or two MH25’s, or an MH25 & one PVS14, this dovetail mount will allow attachment to your helmet with the panobridge (also available on our site)

Why are we offering the Wilcox G22 Mount?

The Wilcox G22 is a non-breakaway dovetail night vision mount. This mount is NEARLY identical to a G24 mount, but it does NOT feature the breakaway style of the G24. The breakaway feature is often used by operators leaving vehicles or aircraft. This breakaway feature enables the unit to “break off” the helmet in the event of an intense snag. Is this critical for the average person with nods? Probably not.

What are the differences between the G22 and G24?

The G22, aside from the lack of a breakaway feature, has about 5/16″ more travel away from the users face than a G24. This CAN be advantageous when used with certain masks and optics. For example, this is an advantage when using the Photonis PD Pro binos. Facial structure also dictates whether or not this additional travel is important. It won’t hurt, regardless of your facial structure or optics run.

These are EXTREMELY limited supply. We gathered these mounts to fill a void in the market as G24’s continue to be harder and harder to come by.

FAQ’s:

1.) Wilcox G24, Wilcox G22, Norotos Lo Sto, or Photonis Mount?

At the end of the day we have personally run all of these options and have been happy with all of them. The G24 and the Photonis breakaway mount are the most similar. The Photonis mount is nearly identical to the G24 and the only major differences are the adjustments (opposite sides) and the magnetic arm. The magnetic arm on the photonis mount is designed to power on the PD-PRO-16B binos. It will serve no function for other night vision devices. It is still a solid option in the event that we cannot source G24 or low sto mounts. The G22 is our current go to for supplying our customers with mounts as G24’s are VERY difficult to find currently.

The G24 & G22 are regarded as two of the industry standards. They have a proven track record of excellence and quality.

The Lo Sto mount is extremely compact. For users who need compact size over everything else, the Lo Sto may make more sense. Ultimately the downside to the Lo Sto is adjustability. For the vast majority of units this will not be an issue. Some users have issues with the Lo Sto when running with units like the PD PRO’s.

All mounts will effectively interface with units with military spec dovetails.

2.) Will this mount work for PVS14’s?

This mount is a dovetail setup designed to be run with binocular nightvision devices. With that being said, users can purchase the AX14 mount found HERE and run their PVS14 with this mount.

3.) Are these units in stock?

We do stock these units, but we also take backorders. This is because of our good relationship with our supplier. Typically we can get mounts in a matter of days. If you have questions about lead times, please contact us at the “contact us” page. Lead times will vary and in the event that there is a large lead time we will contact you directly to notify you.
